Roots & Rhymes

6eorge’s journey in hip hop is anything but typical. Growing up as the son of a pastor, he didn’t have the traditional introduction to hip hop. Secular music wasn’t allowed in his household, so he found his first influences in Christian Hip Hop, drawn to artists like Gospel Gangstaz, Antonious, Prime Minister, Lecrae, and Flame. When he started rapping, it was in the church, mimicking the flows and messages of these artists. For 6eorge, hip hop has always been about having a message—a lesson his dad impressed on him early, making sure that every line he delivered had purpose.

As he got older, 6eorge began discovering mainstream hip hop on his own terms. He remembers the thrill of owning his first CD, Stankonia by OutKast. But it was Kanye West’s The College Dropout that left a lasting impression. In a nod to his upbringing, he even bought the edited version, hoping to pass it off as Christian Hip Hop if his dad ever found it—especially with “Jesus Walks” on the tracklist.

This unique path shaped 6eorge’s approach to his craft. From his earliest days, he’s been focused on the lyrics, rhyme schemes, and flow, always paying close attention to the stories and artistry within each line. For 6eorge, hip hop is about more than just the music; it’s about connecting, uplifting, and moving the culture forward. Now, with The Inauguration, he’s ready to lead a new era—one where authenticity, artistry, and purpose matter as much as the beat.
